I'm crazy for this hydrangea from the new Mark's Finest Papers release, I heat embossed and colored it with Stampin Up Markers and water pen.  The background was made by stamping the plaid from the Kilt Fun stamp set on kraft and I dug out my old stash of eyelets to complete the challenge.

ODBDSLC212 - Sketch

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is a Sketch.  Join us here for all of the details.

I need a second masculine card this month, lots of summer birthdays, and this sketch really fit the bill. I heat embossed this wonderful ODBD sand dollar and water colored it in purple, the color of our living sand dollars here in the Northwest.  I created a watery panel for behind the sand dollar by spritzing water color paper with ink.  The horizontal panel was dry embossed and a twine knot was added for a nautical feel. Pennant dies from the ODBD Pennant Dies set were distressed and sponged for a border.

ODBD Stamps Used: Ocean Treasures
ODBD Dies Used: Pennant Dies

Other Supplies: Re-inkers, water pen, spritzer, twine, foam tape

I love making cowboy cards, so for this week's masculine card, I pulled out the cowboy and barbed wire from the MFP Hey Cowboy stamp set and the birthday sentiment from the Wild Horses set.  Tooled leather was created by inking an embossing folder and I added lots of distressing and sponging.  Finally, I added a lasso with metal brad to finish it off.
