Celebrate the Season

I'm participating in the Power Poppy Bits & Pieces Challenge and the Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

Stampin Up colors for CC:
Blushing Bride
So Saffron
Pear Pizazz

The Power Poppy Bits & Pieces challenge is to use only part of an image.  I've been waiting all year to ink up this sweet vintage image and I thought it would be perfect for the color challenge as a non traditional Christmas card. I heat embossed the main image, as well as the background flowers and watercolored with Stampin Up markers. I sponged the layers, as well as a tag with the greeting, and added a bit of holly and a seam binding bow.

Sequins and dry embossing.

Magnolia lace border and sponged tag with holly.

Inside of card.

Stamps: Power Poppy - Heaven & Nature Sing, Bough Wow Wow
Accessories: My Favorite Things Die-namics (Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax, Double Stitched Square Stax, Fishtail Flag, Stitched Jumbos Fishtail Banner Stax), Merry Christmas embossing folder, Taylored Expressions sequins, Magnolia lace border die, seam binding ribbon, foam tape, heat embossing, Stampin Up markers.

Water Color Mittens

Today's Technique challenge at Splitcoaststampers is to cut die cuts out of water colored paper and I used this week's My Favorite Things Sketch (MFTWSC248).

For the challenges today, I layered several matts, the Kraft layer stamped with the MFT Writing Tablet BG, the Sno Cone matt was stamped with the MFT Myriad Dot BG and cut out with the MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax, and the Field Green layer was cut out with the stitched square from the MFT Blueprints 8 and Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax and stamped with the MFT Sweater Stitch.
I cut out my water colored mittens with the MFT Cozy Mittens Die-namics and added snowflakes from the same set, also cut out of water colored paper. I added a designer paper Fishtail Flag with a cute greeting, a paperclip from the MFT Office Supply Die-namics, enamel dots and twine to tie the mittens.

Christmas Hedgie

I'm playing along with the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, the FS is Mayapple, she has a wonderfully whimsical gallery, full of fun creations! It was so hard to pick a favorite, but I chose this one, I love the sweet hedgie and adorable scene.

I decided to cut out my critter with a MFT Double Stitched Circle Die-namics after heat embossing and water coloring with markers.  I was looking through my paper pads when I found this black piece covered in Christmas greetings, I had originally planned on adding a greeting, as in Mayapple's card, but decided to let the dp do it for me. The green polka dot paper was dry embossed with a Stampin Up Snow EF.  I sponged the main image and scalloped border and added a MFT bow die-namics, holly die and enamel dots.
Stamps: Penny Black
Accessories: MFT Die-namics (Double Stitched Circle Stax, Bow, Stitched Scallop Edges, fence), holly, enamel dots, foam tape, heat embossing, water markers, Stampin Up embossing folder.

Snow Bird

I'm playing along with the Splitcoaststamper Inspiration challenge today, you can find the inspiration I chose here.
I had so much fun with this color combo yesterday, that when I saw the inspiration, I couldn't resist, plus, there was the chance to color this sweet little Stampendous bird!  The image was heat embossed and water colored with SU markers, the greeting is by Verve and both were cut out with MFT Double Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics.  I made a similar red ink embossed border as yesterday, but added a different Magnolia lace border and red gingham knot.

I added glitter glue accents to the berries.

Stamps: Stampendous - Snow Bird, Verve- Glad Tidings (sentiment), MFT Gingham BG.
Accessories:  MFT Double Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics, Magnolia lace border die, enamel dots, gingham ribbon, Stampin Up markers, embossing folder, heat embossing, foam tape.
